Besides day trips to Charlottetown (45 minutes drive), Cavendish (69 minutes drive) and the like, there are lots of things to do locally such as basting in the sun, swimming, and walking in the spectacular Greenwich National Park (8 km away) or taking a bicycle ride on the Confederation Trail which is only a stone’s throw away from Greenwich Gate Lodge.

The area around Greenwich Gate Lodge is a fisherman’s paradise. There are several creeks, streams and rivers close by for trout fishing. The Morell River is an island renowned spot for trout and salmon fishing and only a 10min drive away.

Enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the Confederation trail, which is only a stone’s throw away from Greenwich Gate Lodge. This expansive trail links one end of the island to the other so you can bike to your hearts content. We also offer special cycling packages.

For the horse lover, there are trail rides and romantic sunset beach rides available at nearby stables www.brudenellridingstables.com is only 20 minutes away.

For the more adventurous, there are deep-sea fishing, seal, whale watching and giant blue fin tuna fishing packages www.peitunacharters.com.

For any one visiting the island going to a Ceilidh is a must. For a family night of laughter, dancing and unforgettable memories visit one Saturday nights at the Goose River Ceilidh (10 minute drive), Sunday nights at Monticello Ceilidh (15 minute drive). St. Peters Quigley Memorial Hall Courthouse Theatre is a 5 minute walk from Greenwich Gate Lodge, throughout the summer they will be having story telling, original plays, ceilidh’s and local musicians to entertain you…….a great way to end your day!


PEI has some of the most beautiful beaches and one of which is Greenwich National Park. This beautiful park, which has hiking trails through wooded area and over bridges is only 8km away (7 minute drive) from Greenwich Gate Lodge. Surrounded by immense sand dunes and a pristine beach that goes on for miles it is an absolute beach lovers paradise.

The links of Crowbush Cove
   
  A mere 15 minutes drive (17 km) can take you to one of Canada’s finest golf courses. This spectacular 18 hole, par 72 golf course is Canada’s only five star public course as rated by Golf Digest. While your playing a challenging round of golf, soak in the spectacular views around you. The Links is opened between May and October.
Rollo Bay Greens Golf Course
   
  Rollo Bay Greens is only 18 minutes away (21.5km). This 9 hole par 35 golf course is a perfect family adventure and can present challenges to those more experienced as well. This golf course overlooks beautiful Rollo Bay. Rollo Bay Greens is opened between May 1 and November 1. The Green fees are $15 (9 holes) and $22 (18 holes).
Beaver Valley Golf Course
   
  This picturesque 18 hole par 70 golf course is only 19 minutes away (22.7km). While playing golf enjoy the scenic farmland around you. Beaver Valley Golf Club is open May to October. The green fees are $14 (9 holes) and $24 (18 holes). Senior and Junior rates are available.
Dundarave Golf Course
   
  A 23-minute jaunt (26.8 km) will take you to this four star renowned golf course which is situated in Brudenell River Provincial Park. Brudenell is an 18-hole par 72 golf course that has been rated as one of the top 50 golf courses in Canada. It is opened May to October. Green fees are $50 to $60. Advanced bookings are recommended.

  Nestled near Brudenell River Golf Course, this golf course winds along the beautiful Brudenell River. This 18-hole golf course is opened from May to October. Green fees are $50 to $65. Advanced Bookings are recommended.
Canadian Golf Academy
   
  Located at the Brudenell River Provincial Park off Hwy 3 and only 5 kms from the historic Georgetown. This 9 hole, par 30 Course overlooks the scenic Brudenell River and Island. The Three tee decks provide all levels of golfing with excellent golfing lessons offered by Anne Chouinard – coach of LPGA tour star Lorie Kane.
